Writing has many forms. There is academic writing (essays and such) and then there is creative writing (poems and songs for example). I am not sure which one you're aiming to do, but for either of them, writing about something that you're passionate about is a good starting point.

Whenever people come on here for argumentative essays or poems, that's what I tell them. That's because you can effuse the emotions you feel into your research, driving you to find a wealth of information on the topic for your argument. The same goes for poems, with the emotions applying layers of detail which give a poem it's beauty. If you point to me what exactly you're looking to do, I could help you from there.
