"Bacteria create antibiotics to target other bacteria." (Can someone explain to me in a simple way what this means? I'm confused because I thought all bacteria were bad)
@JustSaiyan
Most bacteria are bad, yes. But all of them are different, and like any species rivalries will occur, so naturally they create ways to remove the competition.
Does that make sense?
Like when two people get into a fight, the natural response is to defend yourself. It's like that, only on a much smaller scale.
So bacteria live in use naturally no matter what?
us*
Well we catch bacteria from coming into contact with objects they are on, so I suppose there are always bacteria inside us. Common colds are caused by bacteria.
Okay so Antibiotics mind control a bacteria inside of us or do they make the bacteria that is fighting the infection stronger?
they mind control the bacteria to fight the infection*
wait how do bacteria create the antibiotics I thought scientists could only make it since its a medicine
I said mind control because my lesson says that antibiotics "Antibiotics are chemical substances produced by certain microorganisms that inhibit or kill other microorganisms."
I'm guessing inhibit means mind control? lol
No no no. Antibiotics are produced FROM the bacteria themselves, they generate it, there is no mind control. XD
Inhibit is another term for "prevent"
yeah I looked that up lol
Oh lol
So why do scientists make it then?
oops I think I read"Antibiotics are chemical substances produced by certain microorganisms that inhibit or kill other microorganisms." there actually saying the microorganisms are the ones who inhibit and kill not the antibiotics
Why do scientists make antibiotics medicine if the bacteria already make it?*
you there?
