B) a horizontal translation 4 units to the left quadratic equations in vertex form are: y = a (x-h)^2 + k, where a is the "stretch factor", the vertex lies at the point: (h, k) So since the only change is by the h increasing by 4, that translates to a left shift of 4 units.
