How have people adapted physically and culturally to different environments? Why do you think these differences developed?

People have adapted physically to different environments based on what it would take to survive in that environment, and by doing so that itself shapes what their culture will be. A group who live up in the mountains will have adapted physically to the low-oxygen levels and colder temperatures, unlike a group who live down in a walled-valley, where there are more likely to flood, in so creating countermeasures.
