I can't really say much more than the building of new countries and borders, etc. I don't have time to get into the details right now. Sorry. :|

UsArmy3947:

From so much damage & spending, the economy was down the drain.

UsArmy3947:

So they had to repair damages from Europe

UsArmy3947:

Also we lost a few ships in Pearl harbor and troops... so economy was horrible

UsArmy3947:

If you need specific details let me know

ashleyisakitty:

Well, there were many economic shifts after the war. The US experienced great growth in terms of the economy after the war. Corporations and the automobile and housing markets were able to thrive in the postwar economy, which in turn sparked stability for the American worker for better work quality and ability..

UsArmy3947:

Automobile was a growth right before WW2, hence Henry Ford.

ashleyisakitty:

Automobiles were a factory product after WWII, increasing sales nearly 4x over which caused the auto-boom.

UsArmy3947:

Might of been an auto-boom but the Ford was the first automobile before WW1 to use assembly line. Causing mass productions

ashleyisakitty:

Yep. Doesnt have anything to do with the question asked though. Just because automobile was expanding before the war, doesn't necessarily mean they were a booming product. After the 2nd war, the US economy great boomed from automobile production.
