mplatt:

Do any one understand this?

Shadow:

What part do you not understand? @mplatt

mplatt:

I only understand the filling in papers and opportunies.

Shadow:

Well, let’s start with (a). What are some of the benefits?

mplatt:

The entry-level pay is low, but there are many opportunities within the company. The employer tells you that the company prefers to "promote from within," or fill vacant jobs by promoting people who already work at the company.

Shadow:

Yes, cut out low pay, then write what is left in your own words.

Shadow:

You could sum it up in a simple sentence ‘they give opportunities to advance’

mplatt:

ok ill put that down

mplatt:

ok next is the monetary costs.

Shadow:

It doesn’t say you need to list all of the benefits, but it does say ‘benefits’ (plural) so you should do multiple. There are a couple of obvious ones. Like for most people, the negative part about a job is the commute, or travel. Or it’s friendliness of their coworkers. What does this section have to say about those topics?

mplatt:

meaning like...?what?

mplatt:

@MoonShadow

Shadow:

"The building is a short bus ride, bike ride, or walk from where you live." A lot better than a long drive/bike/walk/run.

Shadow:

" The people at the office are friendly and helpful, and the whole office has a casual atmosphere." A lot better than rude people at the office, that are not helpful, and a stressful atmosphere with intensity.

mplatt:

Thanks

Shadow:

They are quite easy to spot. Did you read the whole paragraph? Or did you just not think that they were benefits?

mplatt:

No i read the paragraph i was try to connect it to the questions.

mplatt:

its just that sometime i just get stuck

Shadow:

Mhm. I took the AP Psychology exam along with the rest of the nation yesterday. Some of the free response questions required you to relate it to the real world, similar to this, so I know what you mean.

mplatt:

Oh ok cool
