What does line MIK look like?

Shadow:

@MichelleB

Shadow:

Referring to the first screenshot.

MichelleB:

MIK is just a line it looks like

Shadow:

But what kind of line...that is usually particular to circles?

MichelleB:

hm is it the tangent line?

Shadow:

A line that crosses from one point on the edge of a circle to a point on the opposite end of the circle is a line known as the diameter. The diameter effectively halves a circle. A circle consists of 360 degrees. Therefore the angle created by the diameter is half that, which is 180 degrees.

Shadow:

Angle MIK is the diameter MIK = KIJ + MIJ KIJ = 55 MIK = 180 180 = 55 + MIJ I am sure you know what to do from here.

MichelleB:

i need to subtract the 55 from 180?

Shadow:

Correct

MichelleB:

which would give me 125, so 125 i the answer

Shadow:

Yes

MichelleB:

oh alr ty! next one?
