Hook

AnimeGhoul8863:

Write the hook for your essay in the space below. In both pieces the authors explain how nature makes them feel happy and it helps them deal with there problems. They both find the answer by doing something they love and that’s examining nature Wordworth’s poem says “sparkling waves in glee: A poet could not but be gay, In such a jocund company: I gazed—and gazed—but little thought What wealth the show to me had brought” meaning that the starts make him feel happy and the wealth it brought to him as he stairs at the stars.

Elsa213:

A hook is made to capture the reader's attention..Ahem... or to catch fish, kuekuekue.

Elsa213:

Okie okie So let's say the readers are fish. How do we get fish stuck on the hook? Bait. We need the most delious-looking bait we can find. How, though?

AnimeGhoul8863:

Hey reader yes you are you taking advantage of nature. Well if you are read these two pieces and it will change your prospective of nature. These two authors explain that nature is beautiful and it can bring happiness to your life. They used nature to solve there problems so once you read these you might think the same way.

AnimeGhoul8863:

i dont really know how to bait someone into this and add a quote

Elsa213:

Everyone has seen nature but most never really admire it. However, not many have stopped and taken a look at the skys, the clouds, the trees, flowers, etc. However, nature is powerful. Once you admire nature, your worries will disappear like it did with these two authors, Wordsworth and Muir.

AnimeGhoul8863:

so that would work for the hook?

AnimeGhoul8863:

so this is hook now i need to piece that and my thesis together

AnimeGhoul8863:

Hook: Everyone has seen nature but most never really admire it. However, not many have stopped and taken a look at the skys, the clouds, the trees, flowers, etc. However, nature is powerful. Once you admire nature, your worries will disappear like it did with these two authors, Wordsworth and Muir. Thesis: Both authors admire the beauty of nature because both authors get their problems solved using nature to blind them from their problems their writing style is different but I feel both authors write in a positive tone throughout most of their writing though some people might think there is negatives in there writing which there is but they mostly talk greatly about nature and how beautiful and calming it is.

Elsa213:

Great. c: Do you still need a quote for the hook?

AnimeGhoul8863:

yes

AnimeGhoul8863:

Bridge: These authors write in different ways but have the same passion when it comes to nature. They both feel happiness when they look at flowers.
