@katherine, there are three ways to do this. 1. You could just simply plug in both points to each equation and then see which equations come out equal. 2. you could find the slope of the line, m, using the given points, then plug in one of the points to y = mx + b. to find b, the y-intercept. Then re-write y = mx + b and only include the values for m and b. 3. You could create a system of equations by inserting the points in to two sets of y = mx + b then solve for m and b.
