If you haven't noticed the fake smile on my lips
or the forced laugh that I've adopted
or the way I don't care
about the things I used to love
and you dare to stand at my grave
and cry
how can you cry about someone you never knew?

so remove the rope and rinse out your mouth
put the knife away
drop the pills I still care

a folded note a broken mirror and a round girl lays there dead
there emotions tangle the room begins to twirl
She was mainly a perfect little angle and a daddy's girl

What you do is what you are
Action is expensive
For the guy in the audience who listens quietly
Enjoys his fruit acting subsequently

Make your heart glow and your outer will reflect it
Beauty doesn’t offer a meaning
What pleases one may not please another
Be kind and your beauty will shine

Time doesn’t take breaks
Time is like a never-ending race
If you don’t keep up with its pace
It’ll leave your legacy without a trace

Rules are learned through mistakes
They’re an imaginary rope
You have to trip over them and fall
Then you remember where they’re placed

In order to succeed, you must proceed
Comforts aside to the work ethic you must abide
Step into the sun and out of the shade
That’s how winners are always made

When they read they do not perceive
Like a robot doing with no understanding
Look deep into the words
Open your heart, it will happily absorb the meaning
