Need help figuring out and checking the discussion based assignment answers. 1: What role did nationalism and alliance systems play in the outbreak of First World War? Answer: Nationalism caused countries to stop the alliance system but without the alliances, the war might simply have been a local conflict between Serbia and Austria-Hungary, not a world war. In the years before WWI, alliances arose between many European countries. 2: Following World War I, what attempts did Europe make to try and prevent wars in the future? 3: What were the strongest arguments for using the atomic bomb against Japan to end the war in the Pacific?

@JustSaiyan Falcon told me you're good at history and I'm desperate.

JustSaiyan:

2, I would say they spread a lot of propaganda and such, and the war was labeled "The war to end all wars" as well as diplomatic policies and treaties. All of which were a false hope, as it lead to building tension and increased alliances until the smallest thing would cause an outbreak....such as Germany invading Poland.

JustSaiyan:

As for 3, it sounds like it is hinting at something your school might have provided, but in my opinion, the blasts and fallout from both Nagasaki and Hiroshima would be so great, and since both locations contained major military facilities, it caused Japan to drop out of the war. In a way, we saved lives, because we could have done worse.

Okay thank you so so much

JustSaiyan:

You're welcome.
