@Vocaloid

Vocaloid:

are you familiar with trig ratios? sin(theta) = opposite/hypotenuse since you are given theta = 37, hypotenuse = 16, you can solve for the opposite lmk if you're getting stuck

Paris:

What would be the equation?

Paris:

do I put sin(37/16)?

Vocaloid:

16 is the hypotenuse so it doesn't go within the sin expression sin(37) = x/16 then just multiply both sides by 16 to get x = 16sin(37) = plug this into a calculator, make sure its in degrees mode

Vocaloid:

or just use wolframalpha.com

Paris:

So it would be 9.63?

Vocaloid:

good

Paris:

Thank you.

Paris:

When you try to figure out the hypotenuse do you use Tan?

Vocaloid:

nah, tan(theta) = opposite/adjacent so you can't use tan, it doesn't include the hypotenuse at all

Paris:

Oh okay let me ask another question.
