Math help please.
well first let's replace f(x) with y y = 4x -2 switch the x and y x = 4y - 2 then you can re-solve for y and find the inverse of that
I'm not understanding
to find the inverse of a function y = something x, you just need to switch x and y, solve the new equation for y, that new equation will be the inverse then you can find the y-intercept of the new inverse function
so start by solving x = 4y - 2 for y
good, so what would be the y-intercept of that new function?
y = mx + b m is the slope b is the y-intercept
the question is asking for the y-intercept compare y = (1/4)x + (1/2) with y = mx + b to see what the b value is
I don't know how to do any of this, just forget it. Thanks anyways
|dw:1527294819207:dw|
therefore your y-intercept is 1/2
thanks
