Describe FOUR key characteristics of the Green Revolution. (I just need 3 more it's very simple it doesn't have to be long sentences just things that happened in the green revolution)
2 more now*
@JustSaiyan
Do you have that it was a result of new pesticides and fertilizers?
yea but i have it written differently I'll write it how you wrote cause your way is clearer lol
Or that the most effected crop was Wheat?
it was? what happened with wheat
It was the most resistant crop, so it handled the pesticides a lot better.
Oh
I was thinking something about that maybe agriculture the old way was gone or something idk
only developed countries benefitited?
No, since the crops were both used for feeding the country, and for trade/sales so everyone benefited.
ok
Is that good?
yes
Analyze whether or not the benefits of the Green Revolution outweigh its risks for less developed nations.
what were the risks?
Well, if it were to fail, the countries mass producing this crop would yield tainted crops and would have to start over, which would not only cost more, but would rapidly lower their trade rates. Any number of things could happen. The pesticides might not work, or they could end up poisoning the crops, or it could actually lure in MORE insects instead of warding them off, etc.
Ok thanks. I think they test it maybe? on a single plant and see if it works
That would be smart, although they'd have to test each crop to verify that it will work for all of them.
And of course, there are weather conditions, allergies, etc.
This is like having genetically modified vegetables, it's still a very controversial topic, some think it is great, others are skeptical.
....A target?
lol
I have to go to lunch. I'll be back in half an hour.
Ok bye
