justasoftie:

So uh, help me.

justasoftie:

Imma have to type this out

justasoftie:

what should be done to solve the following equation? (7.5) x = 45 1. subtract 0.5 from both sides, then divide each side by 7. 2. divide each side by 45. 3. divide each side by 7.5. 4. multiply each side by 7.5.

Kaihalojr:

easy, all you need to do is use the division property of equality

Kaihalojr:

basically meaning if you divide one side by a number the other side get divided by that same number

Kaihalojr:

this is only done when there is multiplication being done to the variable

justasoftie:

Thank you Kai

Kaihalojr:

no problem!

Kaihalojr:

I love it when i get to feel smart :P
