Factor x3 – 7x2 – 5x + 35 by grouping. What is the resulting expression

@Vocaloid Is the master of math here.

Vocaloid:

First you group the terms within 2 sets of brackets (x^3 - 7x^2) - (5x - 35) The sign between 5x and 35 has to change (basically we are applying the opposite of the distributive property so the sign needs to change to a negative sign to retain the positive sign when distributing)

Vocaloid:

Then you will find the GCF within each bracket, factor them out to get an expression like A(B-C) - D(B-C) Then rewrite your final expression as (A-D)(B-C) Once again applying the opposite of the distributive property

Vocaloid:

That's a lot to take in but I hope it was of use, like if you have any questions
