caira12:

Give a real-world example of an equation which the constant of proportionality is 15. What would the graph look like? I'm still a bit confused on this one can some one please help?

Moon:

so constant of proportionality is k where y = kx y and x are generic units, if we apply this to a real world situation we can let y = miles biked and x = hours biked, making k = the proportionality constant = speed of the bike in miles per hour. we can set k = 15 as the problem indicates. as a graph, consider the equation y = kx, this is a straight line through the origin. if k = 15 then the graph is a straight line w/ slope 15

ohhhh ok thank you
