anyway, we can just use story starter 1 as the basis for the assignment

you can come up with 5 different job offers (be silly or straightforward as you want i guess) and each has their own hourly wage (ex: 20 dollars an hour) and a set bonus (ex: 50 dollars a week)

for each job

P = hourly wage * x + bonus, where x = number of hours worked and P = weekly pay

write an equation for all five jobs.

then you could have your character in the story choose between the five jobs, based on how many hours they can work per week
