Which section of this image represents a court that would have jurisdiction over an appeal from a state trial court? A B F D
I think for this one Is the last one @Shadow what do you think?
since u said jurisdiction is like having control over something like u as a mod controlling the site
I suspect the supreme court would do that
am I right?
wow u r making me understand civics more than before
Remember that each system, state and federal, has their own court of appeals. They can appeal straight to the Supreme Court, but just as a side note, they take very few cases. Extremely few. Often ones that have constitutional importance like the role of religion in government, privacy, etc. So they often try their own system first, for their own court of appeals.
Reference Vocaloid's graphic if you need.
oh oki
oh oh oh
the state supreme courts!
Well keep in mind the hierarchy. There are the trial courts, both lower and higher, the state appellate courts, and then the state supreme court. If things don't work out well for the defendants in the trial courts, where would they go first?
um the lower trial courts
or the general trial courts
hmmmmm
im guessing lower
since its the first place they can go?
huh shadow?
Yeah, the question is asking where the case would go they wanted to appeal it after they had went to the state trial courts.
so it is the lower trial court
The lower trial court is the state trial courts
As well as the higher trial courts being state trial courts.
so its wrong?
Where do cases go if you want them appealed?
oh
OHHHHHHH
THE US COURT OF APPEALS
There you go. Make sure you get the right system (state/federal)
I'm going to go eat lol
