In which part of the narrative arc does the conflict first begin to develop? A. climax B. complicating incident C. resolution D. exposition

mikewwe13:

@Vocaloid

SmokeyBrown:

Well, climax is the part of the story right before the conflict is resolved, and resolution happens after the conflict is resolved, so these wouldn't work to star the conflict. Exposition and complicating incident both occur towards the beginning of the story, but only one of them directly involves the conflict. What do you think?

mikewwe13:

i think exposition

mikewwe13:

@SmokeyBrown @Vocaloid

SmokeyBrown:

Well, exposition can introduce elements that will be involved in the conflict, but it's more used to introduce characters and setting.

mikewwe13:

complicating incident because it's the point in the story where the conflict is first introduced

mikewwe13:

correct ?

SmokeyBrown:

Yup, you got it
