Sarah10:

ik i should square both sides but i don't know where to go from there

SmokeyBrown:

so if you square both sides, you'd get c^2 = a^2 + b^2 then, subtract both sides by a^2 to get c^2 - a^2 = b^2 Finally, take the square root of both sides, and that should be it, you've solved for b

Sarah10:

sqrttc^2-a^2 = b we dont go further ?

SmokeyBrown:

yep, that's it!

Sarah10:

alright, thanks again!
