predicate nominatives are nouns that follow a linking verb and re-name/re-identify the subject the linking verb is "were" so naturally we narrow down our choices to Joe, Roman, and I it wants a pronoun, so between Joe, Roman, and I, which one is the pronoun?

Erm isn't a pronoun supposed to be like a person place or thing. But its not specific?
