Ok, so first let's distribute (-5/2) among the components on the left.
We get -15x/2 -10 < 6 - 3x
If we add 10 to both sides, we get
-15x/2 -10 + 10 < 16 -3x
Of course this simplifies to
-15x/2 < 16 - 3x
Then add 3x to both sides
-15x/2 + 3x < 16 -3x +3x
Simplify
-15x/2 + 6x/2 < 16
-9x/2 < 16
Multiply both sides by -2/9
(flip the < symbol to a > symbol, since we multiplied the inequality by a negative number)
x > -36/9
simplify
x > -1/4
