What does this equal on the number line?
Round the answer 5.7 as we round down in this instance
so 5.10 or 5.9? But you said round down.....?
We're rounding to the first decimal place \(\sqrt{33}\) = 5.74 since the second digit is 4 we round the 7 down to keep 7, instead of rounding it up to 8 if it was a 5. So, you place it 7 bars after the 5 I notice you put 5.10. that would more be 5.1. Any 0 after the last actual number in a decimal doesn't contribute to the number after 5.9 in this instance comes 6.
Sorry if that explanation was a mess, I tried lol
@Razor Did you understand that?
So we give it a nudge down instead of up..I'm assuming?
Yea
Gotcha I'll keep that in mind for future tests thanks
Do note, if it was 5, it would be rounded up, not down
(5 or above*)
