Question one: "What is a complementary angle?" hint: Add the given angle measurements, what do you get from that? \[\angle A+\angle B=?\]Does that result appear to match with the overall angle (it's a right angle) that you see in the problem?


Question two: Blank #1 is given. It's literally taking the question and sticking it into a proof. Blank #2 seems to have multiplied out the right-most part of the expression, what property is this? Blank #3 involves moving all like terms to opposing sides (coefficients and variables on one, constants on the other) of the equals sign. Blank #4 is just dividing to isolate the \(x\).
