Emily went to the river and collected a small sample of water. When she returned home, she placed a drop of water under the microscope. Which type of organism below would she most likely see? A.only multi-celled organisms B.only single-celled organisms C.both single and multi-celled organisms D.none of these

Shadow:

@JustSaiyan You know bio right? haha

Shadow:

Well single celled or unicellular organisms contain only one cell. If you google 'what kind of organisms are found in rivers multi single celled' you will see many examples of single celled being found. Multi-celled organisms is a bit more unclear, seeing as how they are more rare, being mostly plants, animals, and fungi.

Shadow:

It seems likely that you would find plants in a river, and if not, fungi would be present.

Shadow:

I believe that is enough to help you answer your question. Let me know if you need further help.

shasha12:

Thank you

Shadow:

Also it may sound funny to call animals, plants, and fungi rare, but the reality is, we are extremely outnumbered by the # of single celled organisms.
