Vocaloid:

hm not quite it says perpendicular so you should take the derivative and plug in x = 1, then take the negative reciprocal assuming you did that correctly you should have gotten the slope as 1 so what would be the negative reciprocal of 1?

kaylak:

1 because you would do 1/1 which is still 1

Vocaloid:

hm hold on i'm getting something weird

kaylak:

oh okay

Vocaloid:

anyway, negative reciprocal means multiply the reciprocal by -1 so the slope should be -1

kaylak:

ah okay

kaylak:

would that make b the answer

kaylak:

?

Vocaloid:

ah. yes.

kaylak:

that makes sense
