dayungzy1:

A wall of bricks is 7.85 feet high and 13.0 feet wide. What is the area of the wall? Round to the correct number of significant digits

Shadow:

You need to know two things for this. 1. The formula for area, which is just the width times the height 2. The rule for significant figures in regards to multiplication, which is that the result much consist of the least amount of sig figures out of the numbers being multiplied. So 70 x 3 = 210 -> 200

Shadow:

Since both 70 and 3 have one sig fig.

Vocaloid:

Wait where did you get 70 and 3? The orig numbers are 7.85 and 13

Vocaloid:

Anyway, usually we would want to round at the very end So you would multiply 7.85 * 13 and then round to 3 sig figs

Where did you get 70 shadow?!
