Answer:The making, passing and regulation of laws, upholding the justice system and rights of the citizens.

(This is the one I need explained I know that for a government to be legitimate it has to have authority which means it needs to be supported by the people but some of these are split because some people agree and some don't so would it be legitimate anyways since some do support the stand point)

Answer:
A state representative and federal government have power over me because I have to abide by the state of California individual laws that the federal government has intact even if I am against the law. The job position of a state representative makes sure that the area he or she represents has laws pertaining to any given situation or problem that resolves them. I have the right to my own opinion and the right to vote but a state representative represents the majority of citizens living in the area so if I don't agree on a bill and it is passed I still have to abide by it.

4. National governments have more power than any other human institution in the world. Why do you think this is the case?
Answer:
I think that national governments have the most power because they represent and govern a bigger territory and the smaller governments answer to the national government.

5. Which theory of power do you find most convincing? Write a paragraph explaining why you think it does the best job of describing power. Use examples from your reading and observations to support your position.

Answer:The pluralist theory is the most convincing to me because I agree with the statement from the text that states that there are just a lot of different groups trying to get what they want in a particular area.
