During a free fall Swati was accelerating at -9.8m/s2. After 120 seconds how far did she travel? Use the formula 𝑑=1/2 𝑎 * t2 Please dont just tell me the answer i would like to learn how to do the problem

Vocaloid:

d = (1/2)at^2 "a" is the acceleration, which is only g in this case so t is the time, which we are given (120 seconds) so plugging them in gives us d = (1/2)(-9.8)(120^2)

Vocaloid:

this will give you a negative answer because the acceleration is in the downward direction. however they are asking about distance so you would just report the absolute value (just knock off the negative sign)
