Cupcake123456:

Which of the following documents is a foundation for the American values of self-government and limited power? A. the English Bill of Rights B. the Mayflower Compact C. the Virginia Declaration of Rights D. the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut @eiwoh2 @shadow

Eiwoh2:

Ok, so there's one that certainly matches with this answer. But first, which of thee 4, based on your knowledge, do you think it is?

Cupcake123456:

@eiwoh2 D ?

Eiwoh2:

Hm....nah. That would be the last choice i would make. It's one of the first ones. It was created to limit powers of the monarch back then.

Cupcake123456:

@eiwoh2 A?

Eiwoh2:

That would be correct.

Shadow:

The last two are simply states, and not the entirety of America. The second was before America was created, and concerns the first colony by the pilgrims from England. The first, the Bill of Rights, is the first 10 amendments to the U.S Constitution, that have freedoms such as speech, assembly, press, petition, and religion. Also certain rights, such as privacy (police can't jump into your house without a warrant). As I said before, this is all knowledge based.

Shadow:

However you can infer and do process of elimination, as I did.

Cupcake123456:

welps , i just started doing civics thanks

Eiwoh2:

So, pretty much, the English Bill of rights would be the fit here.
