a) A = P(growth rate)^(total time/time it takes to undergo that growth) where A is the total population, t is the years since 1798, growth rate is 2 (representing doubling), and the time it takes to double is 25 years in numbers A = 0.9(2)^(t/25)

c) for the annual percentage growth rate... I'm not 100% on this but since it's growing by 100% over the course of 25 years, 100%/25 maybe?
