The difference between Classical Greece and the Hellenistic world is that Classical Greece was being dominated by Athens in its time. Hellenistic studies focus on the Ancient Greeks between 323 BCE and 146 BCE. The difference between both is that Classical Greece was in the time period of 323 BCE when Alexander the Great died.
