Which of the following is not true about the 25th Amendment? A. It outlines procedures for filling a vacancy in the office of the vice president. B. It provides a means of removing certain legislators from the House and the Senate. C. It provides a procedure for temporarily filling the office of the president in the case of disability. D. It outlines procedures for removing the president from office if he or she is incapable of fulfilling his or her duties. @dude @smokeybrown
`The 25th amendment allows for the Vice President to become president in the event of death, resignation, removal from office or impairment that prevents the current president from fulfilling his or her duties.` From this I would think its B, as it has nothing to do with the president (Smokey can agree/disagree)
So A and C are true, since the 25th amendment specifically talks about filling vacancies for president and vice president in sections one and two. Looking at section four, I see that there is a procedure described for having the Vice President act as the acting president by a 2/3 vote from congress, replacing the president. I think this makes D true as well. So, I agree with dude, and B would be the only one that is not true.
