Gandhi was a spiritual leader and a political. Gandhi made himself an example of child marriage. He wrote his narrative on his own marriage with sour regards of the past. Somehow he blamed his father for forcing him to marry early. He stated how his early years could have control his whole life if hadn't been for the death of the two girls that were chosen for him. Gandhi stated the difference between betrothed and marriage. The first being a preliminary promise to the parents of the female and the male that their child would be together. Gandhi claimed to be betrothed three times and he was seven on the final betrothment. The second, which is marriage, is having consent with both parties. He married at the age of thirteen which for him was not appropriate.
