sarahthorn01:

A ball is thrown straight down from the top of a 449-foot building with an initial velocity of -27 feet per second. Use the position function below for free-falling objects. s(t) = -16t2 + v0t + s0 What is its velocity after 3 seconds?

Vocaloid:

close but not quite. they give you the position equation not the velocity equation. you will need to take the derivative of position to get velocity. s(t) = -16t^2 - 27t + 449 s'(t) = -2*(16)t - 27 then you can find the velocity at t = 3
