Which of the following statements about mitosis are true? Select all that apply Two genetically identical daughter cells are formed. It consists of two divisions. Mitosis occurs in all body cells except gametes (sex cells). The chromosome number in the resulting cells is identical to the parent cell. DNA replication is completed before the cell divides Mitosis occurs in only gametes (sex cells) The chromosome number in the resulting cells is halved.
@JustSaiyan Can you help ^_^
Do you know what mitosis is ? :P without searching on google
yes ma'am
Firstly I am obligated to ask which you think would be the answer, knowing what mitosis is.
Ok I'll just tell you because I am not good at following rules. Mitosis is a phase of cell division in which a clones itself, resulting in two genetically identical daughter cells. That means the first answer would be A. DNA replication is in fact the cloning, so you can also choose E.
D would also be correct, since they are all essentially identical
C is also correct, as mitosis is primarily regeneration (healing scratches, bruises etc) while Meiosis is what occurs in the sex cells, which we can discuss on a post related to those.
A, C, D, and E would be correct.
Develop a model that can be used to explain the stages of growth and development in a human. Read the following statements. What is the correct order for each of the stages of human development? Put the statements in the correct order from beginning to end of development. ______ Cells differentiate. ______ Sperm fertilizes egg. ______ Embryo changes from two to four cells. ______ Specialized tissues and organs are produced. ______ Genetic material is evenly divided. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5
I am not 100% certain on this, but it should be something like this: 3 Cells differentiate. 1 Sperm fertilizes egg. 4 Embryo changes from two to four cells. 5 Specialized tissues and organs are produced. 2 Genetic material is evenly divided. I might be wrong though, so if @Vocaloid is on, she could check it for me.
Human Development isn't really my strong suite when it come to biology.
