Nyelo! Welcome to QuestionCove cx I'll be helping yew for dis problem >.< You are told that he increases his workouts by adding 2 miles a month, this means each month, so the 1st month has 2.5 miles, 2nd has 4.5 and so on and so forth. Looking at the equation you have \(\bf{f(x)=0.5+2x}\) It is in the format of \(\bf{y=mx+b}\) meaning that \(\bf{0.5}\) is your start, and \(\bf{2}\) is your rate. This would mean that \(\bf{x}\) would equal to `each month`. Understand?
