for a) you are given miles per hour and you want one light year which is essentially miles per year

so you'd have to multiply 6.7x10^8 miles per hour * the number of hours in a year

one year = 365 days; 1 day = 24 hours

therefore one light year --> 6.7x10^8 * 365 * 24
