For the second problem.

If you look at the graph at 0. It approaches to 2 different points. So the limit does not exist

In both of these graphs there's a limit at 0.
And no open holes doesn't mean that there's no limit. Open holes just means that there's a discontinuity.


But this bottom one does not have a limit. Since the limit from the left is not the same as the limit from the right.
