A drifter in the night

As I travel down that road at night
my thoughts begin to take flight
thinking of everything I can
when i feel the cool of the ac's fan
thats when my mind starts to off and my eye lids get dense
then comes a blinding light and my body tense
as im thrown from my car
i land on my back and i can see the bright shining stars
I can hear the distant ringing and yelling in my ear
i can barley make out the words as the person nears
as the ground around me turns red
i feel an aching pain coming from my head
the man tells me to hold on a bit longer
i see a shadow man start to wonder
the shadow gets closer and whispers in my ear
"your time is now near"
the feeling of peace comes and the pain goes away
I never knew when i woke up that today was my last day
