How are the Greek values of family and perseverance shown through Odysseus’s return home?
Well, Odysseus was away from home for a war that lasted 10 years. Then after the war, it took ANOTHER 10 years to get home, because his route was stuffed with obstacles, including an Angered Poseidon, the witch Calypso, who turned his crew into pigs, the monsters Scylla and Charybdis, and when he finally got home, there were suitors living in his house waiting to marry his wife, who had been stalling in wait for her husband to return. Upon his arrival, he schemed with Athena, who gave him the appearance of a beggar, which allowed him to get close and slaughter all of the suitors, reunited with his now 20 year old son, and wife. Nothing can compare to these trials, if he did one thing, it's persevere
