Actually I would think B. A conjecture is based off of incomplete evidence. An inference is based off of complete evidence. Therefore when it's like informal::formal When you speak you're casually talking But when you make a statement it's like a formal way of speaking. For example employees of a company may speak about stuff but what they say doesn't represent the company they work for. An employee of a company may make a statement for the company and that's like an official/absolute idea where medias or other people can cite.
