AB is a segment representing one side of isosceles right triangle ABC, with A (5,6) and B (2,2). Angle ABC is a right angle AB is congruent to BC. Find the two possible coordinates of vertex C.

An isosceles triangle is a triangle with two equal lengths. This is also a right triangle, which means it forms a 90 degree angle. Therefore you can draw another side that is equal in length to AB. This side must create a 90 degree angle as the hypotenuse is the side opposite to the 90 degree angle.
The second equal length you draw much be creating the 90 degree angle with AB, to be clear.
I still don’t get it.
At what are you confused
At the part on how I should draw it...
Start by drawing a side equal in length to AB that creates a 90 degree angle with AB.
It should be clear after that
Have u seen the image that I took?
Yes, from B, Point A is 4 units up and 3 units right. Draw a line that goes 4 units up and three to the left. Same length. 90 degree angle. Do the same in the other direction.
From B, cant do that with A. That’s why it is the only two possible points.
I see.
So can I do for the other point of C, 4 units down and 3 units to the right?
Shadow?
shadow is hard at work on this problem
