Which triangles could not be similar to triangle ABC ? https://static.k12.com/nextgen_media/assets/1543504-IM2_141010_020406.jpg Select each correct answer. A. https://static.k12.com/nextgen_media/assets/8127133-SUM_CR_GMT_SemA_10_UT_DP024_41_001_A.png B. https://static.k12.com/nextgen_media/assets/8127276-SUM_CR_GMT_SemA_10_UT_DP024_41_001_B.png C. https://static.k12.com/nextgen_media/assets/8127277-SUM_CR_GMT_SemA_10_UT_DP024_41_001_C.png D.https://static.k12.com/nextgen_media/assets/8127134-SUM_CR_GMT_SemA_10_UT_DP024_41_001_D.png

Well a triangle must have the same angles and proportionate sides to be similar. The original image has sides 5 : 12 : 13 A is 6 : 8 : 10 B is 15 : 36 : 39 C is 2.5 : 6 : 6.5 D is 12 : 35 : 37 Out of them all I'd say A is the only one that doesn't fit.

bill533:

JUST A ?

bill533:

TriangleRST is similar to triangleWXY . Which statement is a proportionality statement for the ratio of the sides of the triangles? https://static.k12.com/nextgen_media/assets/1077641-HS_GMT_L2_S2_03_03_qz_Q4.gif A. RS/XY = ST/WX = TR/YW B. RS/WX = ST/YW = TR/XY C. RS/WX = ST/XY = TR/YW D. RS/YW = ST/XY = TR/WX

mhchen:

B fits if you multiply it by 3 C fits if you divide it all by 2 D does NOT fit either. If you were able to select A and D select D as well

mhchen:

For the second question: You gotta make the sides of the left triangle match the right triangle |dw:1541203415916:dw| I think C fits it

mhchen:

You gotta find this: |dw:1541203679526:dw|

mhchen:

I think B fits it

bill533:

△ABC is similar to △LMN. Also, angle B measures 35° and angle C measures 95°. What is the measure of angle L? Enter your answer in the box. _______°

bill533:

also just b right ?

mhchen:

Yeah

mhchen:

So if ABC is similar to LMN then A corresponds with L B corresponds with M C corresponds with N So angle L = angle A It says B = 35 and C = 95 Can you find A?

bill533:

yes

bill533:

so it's 50

mhchen:

Yeah. So there's your answer

bill533:

△ABC is similar to △LMN. Also, sideAB measures 5 cm, sideAC measures 7 cm, and sideLM measures 35 cm. What is the measure of sideLN ? Enter your answer in the box. ______ cm

mhchen:

okay so AB corresponds with LM BC corresponds with MN CA corresponds with NL You can make this equation: \[\frac{AB}{CA}=\frac{LM}{LN}\] which is \[\frac{5}{7}=\frac{35}{LN}\] Are you able to solve that?

bill533:

49

mhchen:

yeah

bill533:

ok thank you for your help mhchen

mhchen:
