What is the right thing to do when honesty may create negative consequences for a friend?
@Shadow
what would you do
honestly i wouldn't know
What do you think you should do?
I don't know maybe Talk to the person into persuading and showing them what is right and what is wrong
How does geographic range play a role in the decreasing population size of the Tasmanian Devil? (Hint: Think about limiting factors!)
is that right for my comment ?
That doesn't answer the question though. it seems to ask if you will be honest and possibly create negative consequences for your friend, or lie (or avoid them) to save them from the negative consequences.
Well It can be negative when you feel pressured by your friends to do something if they would give you negative consequences
No one is giving anyone negative consequences.
And no one is pressuring anyone to do anything
It is simple: will you be truthful to your friend or not
But to avoid such any kind of consequence, you would be truthful and tell them the right things also lead them to a path that would lead your friend out of trouble and be a true friend to your friends
You are right in that the correct thing to do would to be truthful, but it would not "avoid" the "negative consequences" discussed in the question.
