Rosebud24:

can a bilingual person change personalities slightly when speaking another language?

Eiwoh2:

No.....they'll always be from one single race, so it dosen't seem likely. Besides, you can always fake an accent and what matters is how well you do it. XD

Eiwoh2:

You can also accustom to the culture. But someone that knows two languages or more would always have the same race, the personality depends. But i've never seen that happen. XD

Rosebud24:

If it does happen itll be kinda scary

Eiwoh2:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Rosebud24 If it does happen itll be kinda scary \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Yeah, someone would have to be purely dedicated to the change if they want to change personalities because of another race. But they can never change what they are, anyway. So like i said, highly unlikely.

Rosebud24:

That is true

Eiwoh2:

Elsa be lurkin' XD

Elsa213:

I tend to change personalities when speaking another language mostly because I'm not as confident as speaking my first language. When moving to another language, you're not sure if your pronouncing words correctly so you limit yourself or change your words.

Eiwoh2:

I guess, but if you're used to it, you won't really change. If you want to start to learn another language, you can learn the culture and how they do things, but i don't know, simply speaking another language dosen't seem to be changing personalities....but lol i just noticed "slightly", so everyone has their own bodies and personalities to work with. It depends on the individual is your answer. XD

Elsa213:

Where du hail did `slightly` come from? e.e That wasn't there before <.<

kittynicole:

I don"t think so

NAGC:

im also bilingual I speak Spanish I can't say that has happened to me.

dude:

I agree with Elsa, I take a different tone and sometimes an different approach to things because I have more confidence in one language than another

NAGC:

yeah true I was wrong sorry.
