Smart debaters will set a time period for 'current' like, past two years, or maybe 10 years? Not a long stretch since there has been a strange uptick

"limitations of guns"
What kind of limitation?
-Ban automatics?
-Ban semi-autos?
Why? Studies show semi autos are more lethal (in some situations)
-Las Vegas shooter used an auto (obviously more effective)
-Semis are likely more effective in your general shooting (totes casual)

What about ammo? Bump stocks?
-If you don't know any of these terms, research or you will be rekt.

-What is keeping society safe? and free from violence?
Both are unobtainable which makes the resolution seem naive. But if you plan on going with it, this abstraction will be defined as something by a smart debater to close the frame for all other debaters to stay within.
