\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @dude Right, you want to put the g function inside of the f Substitute the x in the f function with the g function \(\color{red}{{f(x)-4x+7}};~~\color{green}{g(x)=2x-6}\) \(\color{red}{-4}\boxed{\color{green}{2x-6}}\color{red}{+7}\) \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Did you understand what this meant?

dude:

I'm guessing you have not lol Do you know what composite functions are and what they mean?

eviant:

@dude I know that you have to combine functions, but what do I do with (1)?

dude:

Okay so we have already combined the functions, now we just substitute the 1 into the combined equation \(-4(2\cdot 1-6)+7\)

eviant:

I got 23

dude:

I got that too
