math help the number of kilometers tony travels in a canoe d varies directly with the amount of time spent in the canoe for 2.25 hours, he travels 9 kilometers which equation shows direct linear variation
@Hero
It says "which equation" so where are the equations?
Do you have any idea how to approach this problem?
sorta
Okay, what have you figured out so far?
i figured out that 9 km can be t
Why would 9 km represent t when t represents time. Kilometers represent distance.
kms not good at math
Well, do they give us anything that represents time?
yea 2.25 represents the hours he spent canoeing
So Tony spent 2.25 hours canoeing and travelled 9 kilometers d represents the distance travelled in kilometers and each equation has d in it so we can put 9 in place of d.
And since 2.25 represents time, we can put that in place of $t$. one of those equations will have both sides agreeing. That one would be your correct answer.
ok thank u so much for helping me and im sorry for taking u away from what u were doing u are such a big <3
